Our Story
Christ Like began in 2022 as a small Bible study in a living room with just 10 people. What started as a space for second-generation immigrants to grow in faith has since become a thriving ministry of Bible studies, worship nights, and camps. In June 2025, we began holding weekly services with worship and the Word. By God’s faithfulness and provision, we’ve grown from living rooms to a church.
Our vision is simple: to see all people transformed into the likeness of Christ. Our heart is to build a church that is both multi-generational and multi-ethnic—a community that reflects the beauty of Heaven.

Yelshaday Baraki
Yelshaday Baraki is the Lead Pastor of Christ Like Church in Kitchener, Ontario — a growing and diverse community devoted to helping people know Christ and live like Him. His heart for ministry is rooted in building a church where people of every age, culture, and background can belong, grow, and serve together in faith.
With a passion for discipleship and community, Pastor Yelshaday began his ministry leading a group of young adults and professionals, which has since blossomed into a church that reaches across generations and cultures. His leadership is marked by humility, authenticity, and a deep desire to see lives transformed through the gospel.
Pastor Yelshaday is joyfully married to his wife, Adene Dessie, and together they are proud parents to their son, Joel, who brings endless joy and inspiration to their lives. As a family, they are committed to seeing God’s kingdom flourish in their community and beyond.
